My wife will tell you that sadly my LHS is a bit too local, 3 minutes walk round the corner, and she swears I should have a bed there!!!
I support them as much as I can but after recently getting my fingers burnt on a 2nd hand 600 Pro I'm starting to look on the net more. I know you can say I shouldn't have bought 2nd hand but, having spent well into five figures with them in recent years, I trusted them not to palm me off with something as bad as it turned out to be. Still lesson learnt I suppose, hopefully won't get caught out again but it's severely dented my trust in them.

Any way that's my 2 pence worth.

For some while I've never supported my local store, Inwoods, which is 20 minutes up the road from my drum, but it's not until you step inside one of the most comprehensive stores in the UK do you realise theres nothing like the old school browsing, picking something up, talking to someone knowledgeable, and often they recommend a cheaper alternative which'll do the job for half the price.

Example I was after the best engine for my 3D Prangster, Nick at Inwoods could have said have the £100+ OS engine, but no, he recommended the Irvine 46 at half the price which will offer all the performance without sacrificing performance or quality build, now that's old school service and without a doubt the best you can ask for.

All the LHS's have websites, but I say support the one closest, I'll still purchase goods from Fast Lad as there a superb outfit, but so is the one 14 miles up the road from me.

Everyone is suffering right now and if it means moth balling a few machines and flying your fav ones then do so, but lets keep our hobby alive even if we can only afford 30% of what we used to spend, so keeping one or two of the cheaper Heli's too fly is better then having more birds down due to wear and tear or crash damage and not flying anything, and finally saying sod it and give up for a while.

Well that's my pennies worth anyway.
