Nothing wrong woth a good old raptor 50, and yes the os would fit.
But if it was me, why not go for a ElyQ vision 50, similar coponants to a raptor but cheeper and more capable

plenty of better options than the Raptor. Trex 600, Knight, Vision, plus the upcoming Outrage 50 and Beam.

dont see a problem with a good old trusty raptor but there are more capable machines to take you all the way thro

            hope that helps

Raptor 50 + OS engine work for me, nothing wrong with it and parts are so easy to come by. That may not always be the case for some other models...

I knew nothing of Nitro heli's and my first and still is a Raptor 50 Titan. With the help of some on here, I've found it fairly easy to maintain and repair, and it's a great flyer !

You wont go wrong with a Raptor titan .. nice machine to learn with and unless you going stupid stick banging will keep all the way to mild 3d if thats what you want .. Spares prices are not that bad andfor day in day out running are very good .. Some have mentioned the elyq .. yeh nice flying heli .. fuggly as hell tho ... Just my opinion on them ...
Yup the OS 50 will fit straight in there as well ... As its mechanical mixing as well you dont need 3 servos the same on the cyclics/pitch so can mix and match ...Yeh theres alot of different heli's out there now ..Sometimes with me its what they look like as well not just the way they fly .. I like my knight3d for different reasons to why I like flying the Raptor...TBH if you going to learn on a nitro .. n e of the 50's about now from the top mfs are a good choice ...

Raptor titan as a 1st heli is ideal.

Raptors are solid machines (Takes a bang well)

                      Proven airframe

                      Can 3D or Scale

and you can get a good airframe cheap enough

Personally for a 1st airframe why not there's nothing to really watch out for unlike other models...

and just about every club can help you with it because there that common

I really like my Raptor Titan
One thing to consider is what others fly in your club, as if you are a unsure you will probably be asking them for assistance in setting it up, they will obviously know more about the helis they fly themselves.
As an introduction into a nitro, the titan works for me
