What nitro

Hi guy's been playing with the beam for a bit now and thinking about another heli. Saw a trex 700 fly today really impressed but a bit out of my price range. Thought about a raptor there seems to be plenty of these around, Possibly some thing second hand, would really like to build one, really enjoy putting them together and setting them up. Any sugestions as what to get this is going to be a long term build about six months, As i am still learning to fly.Just need something to play with.

I might have my raptor titan coming up for sale as I just dont fly it as much as I should do really lol... Sale will be for airframe, Hyper 50 engine(new rear bearing 1 tank ago), hatori 522 pipe and carbon main and tail blades .. Heck I can even strip it back down to parts if you want to build it lol....

Bare in mind that spare will be a nightmare to find (although I think this one does come with some spares).

Yeh it does come with spares and they still make spares for it .. Midlands has stock of them .. It was my old heli ....

I had one as well many years ago -never really got to grips with it at the time though (both in terms of flying it and having lots of trouble with the engine) so can't actually say too much about how it flies.

Flew ok when I had it ... theres a vid of it flying in my vids section .. Yeh its an old machines but for someone to learn to hover and do circuits with its ideal

I'd say pick either a T-rex 600n/Raptor 50 the 600n is cheaper to fix overall and spares come in 2's. But most of the current 50's would suit you.

Unfortunately I'd have to agree (apologies to whoever is selling the Nexus, although it does look to be a potential bargain ). I'd personally get a 600N.

i'm glad you think its a bargain as i didn't really know what to expect so listed it to test the water, like it says in the advert i only wanna try fund a second hand 401 and tail servo for my b400, it is up on ebay so i will see what happens.
Would also like to say thanks to Mike W for sorting me out with a cheap nitro, is just a shame i will probably never fly it.

The 600N or raptor 50 is almost certainly the best way to go. Plenty of support for them and spares readily available and cheap. You can always pick up a cheap Raptor second hand, as you say, but there's nothing like building it yourself and knowing its been done properly.

I Would suggest the Vision 50 from Ely.Q!
Very easy to build and flies very very well.
You an fly anything with it....from hovering to extreme 3D.
And it is very cheap....so.....ordet this kit and you will be happy ;-)

If it's any help, I sold mine on eBay about 18 months ago for £165 -that was with very old radio gear and no spares -it had been sitting in a cupboard at that point for several years and I was unsure whether it would have been flyable but I think the guy who bought it wanted it for spares.

Actually, I think it did have a spare engine.
