        • I finaly flew today after practicly 2 weeks. I was on my way home around 3:20 ish armed with my 450 in the van & i noticed a sudden calm in the extreme wind. I'm fortunate to have spotted a wind gauge at both routes i use to drive to the field & right by it, so seeing that the flags were just rippling i went flying. I only managed about 2/3-3/4 of a pack before the strong gusts came back but it was such a nice 3.5-4 minutes of general flying & tic tocs.

            • My flying story today:-

450 in the boot of car - mid day out of boot - 30 second hover - big gust - instant 30 foot climb - landed - put back in boot - off to the gym instead

sorry couldn't be arsed to write an intricate write up ;-)

              • Did some flying today..

1st on the flybarless Protos which actually went fairly well considering. The Vbar kept it pretty much in a level plane, but it had the tendancy to rise and fall with the gusts.

Took the Logo 500 out aswell, and took the gusts a little better, but with out the v bar, it was less stable in the hover..

Altogether, just a mad moment to fly in this wind, but I really wanted to get a few packs run in

..always fancied trying out a Rave myself.

                        • My m8 filmed me, although I have strapped the phone to a hat before. He is petrified of dogs and you can here his comments on a massive St Bernard approaching as I take off on the first video. Im thinking about taping the N95 to my P-40 warbird tomorrow (weather permitting)

                          • Did my first auto's today, first 10ft then 15ft, then 25ft but I tipped it over on the last one (on soft grass) and now need to change the front TT bevel gear. Been 50 flights without a prang so not bothered at all about that and I have the part already. Also I strapped my Nokia N95 to my P-40 warbird today I will post those videos in the plank forum.

                            • Fun aren't they, autos. The last few I did I nearly rolled on landing, and it was because I hadn't turned into wind!!!

                              • I could not resist the blue sky this morning on the way to work and stopped off for a flight. It was quite windy but sheltered next to a hedge so I could easily take off and land the 450. Finally managed to get a decent enjoyable flight with it, now its finally 'dialled' in etc. The wires poking out the bottom are for charging and connecting the power as it is all sealed up. Coulpe of photos after it's flight into the blue yonder:

                                cheers
