December last year i got a blade 400 to crash....er,i mean try and fly
Crashed it a few times and got pheonix lent to me a few weeks later in January, used that lots and on Aug 10th i went nose in for the first time
My father is a life long planker and once he said to his mates "he wont last" the ball was set running for me to make him eat his words
He did that on saturday when i was in an inverted nose in hover with the 600 for 20 seconds or so,3 ft off the deck while he and his plank crew were watching me

Looking good Bladestriker, your inverted climb reminds me even more that i need fresh 6s lipo's. It's just a shame the camera was too far away to pick up on the whole blade fart. Those for me are why i love electrics, no noisy strimmer engine drowning the farts out.
Yep i flew the Logo & Trex today. I'm doing pack after pack trying to get my Pie dish neat.
I'm finding that all is good on the part where the heli is skids facing me but it's the transition from skids away to towards me when it's going from 6 0'clock to 12 0'clock as i seem to let it arc too much & so the funnel is slowly drifting right (i do them CCW). I can keep it stationary on the sim but for real i need to really work on my cyclic/elevator to get it smooth & round.
Oh & i was also working on my aileron tic tocs (nose left) which i can now do ok 'ish' but they are slow because i'm keeping them controlled so i don't lose altitude.Last edited by p4ddy; 03-11-2009, 04:52 PM.Yes the big sigpic is coming back

I had a bit of a moment today when doing aileron tic tocs (getting better btw especially with the fresh outrage lipo). I was doing them & suddenly i had no idea what the heli was doing as it started falling quite slowly. I seem to just let it fall untill i saw what it was doing then corrected it. I wish it was on video so i could see what i done?? I'm thinking i held the cyclic to long & it rolled. Another crash avoided thanks to flying higher than high.
OH & i ALMOST hit a seagull!!!! I had just turned to a side hover & the bird shat itself & made very flustered & scared turn. It's bloody crazy how i have no dog problem but the last 2 days i'm getting a few seagulls over the fieldYes the big sigpic is coming back

had a close call with the 500 today, where I mounted the esc which was at the front under the battery tray, the wires moved and rubbed against the pinion ended up shredding the rubber insulation. Whilst in a hover I noticed white debris splatted over the frame which made me bring it down and inspect the heli. could have gone horribly wrong had it gone through the wire. lesson learnt and I have mounted the esc on the side of the frames now.Last edited by cupracing; 04-11-2009, 09:45 PM.Goblin 700
