Also had a good day today, the wind has gone and I managed to get 3 batteries through the Rave on the way home from work (finished at 3 ) getting more confident, until I got this rave airbourne I hadnt flown for months but I think I've done about 12 flights on her now. Did some massive loops (50ft diameter) held it at the top a few times inverted. Done a load of backflips, some inverted hovering (75ft up), tried some elevator tic tocs but they were crap. All in all a really good 3 batteries!

tbh honest they only came down half the distance they went up as I dont like to try things to close to the ground at this point I start off forward flight about 15ft up and with 12 degrees positive pitch I end up 70ft up before Im inverted

That's good, i like sensible & safe yet progressive flying. All my new stuff is VERY high. With my old motor my heli would bog & drop like a stone when i 1st started loops.

The damn evenings are so short now, didn't finish work until 3 so got to the field about 3.20 pm. A few problems initially starting my gasser so I only got a couple of tanks through it, although a tank will last 18 -20 minutes. The best part wasn't the flying which was pretty average to say the least, can't do any of this 3D stuff yet, but the fact that I've hopefully cured the air leak I had on the intake side of my engine which was causing it to run erratically. When it's like that you don't have the confidence to go for anything, if it is sorted I can now start throwing it aorund.

Flew the Logo again earlier after work. What i find annoying is that i only seem to fly in 2 min bursts?? I land hit thro hold, take a 30 sec breather then up for another 2 min. I don't do that with my 450, just fly the whole 4:50.

Tried again, a lot breezier than yesterday, but I flew all 6 batteries, no accidents, so I'm happy. Didn't do anything special, just lazy 8s & hovering, but I'm happy to get a successful day under my belt

Did manage to get out for my first bit of night flying last night, on my old 450.

Fsck me, how cool is that?!? I spent most of the time just giggling to myself, and the rest wondering when the UFO spotters were going to show up. Must sort out a proper night rig!

yea that's how i'd be, wondering how long it'll take for people ringing the UFO hot line LOL.

I have a field behind my house when i move in next month & a night set up on my 450 would be brilliant as it would really get tounges wagging.

I got 3 flights in today....i got my flips in....at one point i flipped the 600 so much it looked like a 450 up there lol....so windy i couldnt really hear the blades farting

Also did 3 batteries on the Rave, from my brothers garden he lives in a farmhouse .. I wasnt as comfortable as yesterday as I had a big house behind me a tree line at the bottom of his garden, 6ft walls all the way around, a power or phone line 20ft up to my right so most of my flying was done 40ft+ still was good.

I flew the Logo & the trex today. More pie dishes, inverted flight etc & a new move.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. A 540deg stall turn woohoo!!.This is another move that's always scared me?? but today i thought "hey i'm comfy with my piro rate so lets do it" It's great as i can now do it at any time in my flying like out of a flip. Another thing i done for the 1st time is to add full neg when the heli is vertical & add full rudd at the same time, makes a lovely sound.

I also done a very accidental piro flip which by chance & luck more than skill ended ok.

Also is it just me or are tail down skids in pie dishes easier than skids out?? I originaly only done skids out but now i do skids in i find them easier to get the heli 'locked' into the move.
