Perfect flying day - no wind, blue sky. The sun sets around 10 pm, so I managed to fly for a while. Beautiful!

Got my "E"-Rex 700 sorted out - M1 main wheel, X-Era motor and Kontronik ESC. I enjoyed flying that one - it flies now very well.
My rolling circles are still not rolling as they should. But they suck a little bit less with every flight...

And, I finally got an 850 W PC power supply, so I can charge it at the same time with the packs from the "little one".

Only took me 600 got the chance to try out my new DSX9 so had a great evening.

Thought i'd give life to this thread again.

I flew my Logo today & done a tail down skids in pie dish. That thing is so much easier to do them with than the 450 & feels more like flying on the sim. The blade sound was just amazing...vvzzzzzzzzzzzvrraaaaaaaaaaaapvvzzzzzzzzz zzzzvrraaaaaaaaaaaaaap!! I went up nice & high like with my 450 & just went for it. It was a great 2 lipo's of flying.

Nice one p4ddy. You been down the field again then or up at Reading? Might be able to join you for a fly this week if you're about? I haven't been flying since last indoor sesh. Do you have foam boom support in your Airwolf fuselage? I was thinking - no room for boom braces/struts.

Yep everyday at that field. Yes my Airwolf came with a polestyrene doughnut that slides over the boom near the tail. That though is poo so i made a new one from a hard foam that gives a much stronger support. I have a big sheet if you want a bit?

I NEARLY flew today. I went to the field, perfectly still, brilliant!

I started to spool up my 500, then I heard a zzzt then tick, tick, tick. I stopped it, and it had stripped a tooth on the main gear.

I thought "Oh well, I'll just change it" but I'd forgotten to take my spares box to the field.

Still not feeling too good(cold) but managed to put a batt through my 500 and 600 this arvo...and 3 flights on the MX2 plank,didnt sneeze once so could of flown the helis more,still,less to charge

Hey guys just thought I would let you know that I just got back from the field absoloutly buzzing. Just got 10 flights on my Dragous 450, one of the few times I've managed to fly outdoors. Until today I was very basic hovering around mostly tail in with a bit of side on and some veeery slow and wobbly circuits.

Today my confidence just grew and grew with each pack, started off on pack 1 with the usual hovering around. By pack 6 I was flying circuits and figure 8's at low to medium speed and doing some punch outs taking it much higher than I had ever been comfortable with before (I then got a 5 foot fly by from a Swan which scared the crap out of me so I had to sit down and get a bacon bap from the burger van!).

By pack 10 I totally amazed myself (and the others at the field). Straight into fast forward flights off take off, fast fly by's, loose-ish stall turns, and some Chandelle turns based on a loose figure of 8. Also did some nose in hovering!

Totally amazed myself didn't expect to come on that quick! I just neeeeeed more flight time! Hope the weathers good tomorrow!

It could have been worse, you could have opened your flight box only to find your TX is still sat next to your PC after simming No i've never forgotten my TX but it is my worst nightmare.

The dragonus is proving to be fantastic the more I fly and the better I get the more I love it. I am so glad I went for the 3000kv scorpion because at 2600rpm head speed I am getting 10 minute flights out of my cheapo loong max packs.

Yep I am gradually increasing my flight times each time - On 8 mins on the timer I was only putting 1400/1500mah back into the pack's on the cellpro.

Even at 2600rpm it punches out 20 feet in a jiffy!
