Flew my 230 s today ,only had it a few weeks so I'm learning the basics, was feeling great , just practicing lazy eights getting them smoother was the aim, then I let it get far too high and rather than just letting it drop I tried to fly it down,( was thinking, your getting better , no need to panic ..) then my house jumped out of nowhere and swiped my heli with its roof. Bad house . Broken skid and split canopy. So not to bad.

I really like the look of the Goblin Speed. Can you fit normal skids on it?Originally posted by Grumpy View PostTwo flights each of these yesterday:
I haven't been flying this year as yet but on Saturday I did have a scout around up the hill behind my flat to see if there's a flyable space. It looks like there is a big enough space but it's not easy to get to. This is part of the Western Heights nature reserve and is next to the now closed Dover Immigration removal centre. I haven't looked up the bylaws as yet. But it's a bit daunting to get to as this area is about 15 stories up on top of a hill.
Old concrete pillbox on the hillside. There's more hillside under it but it's almost a sheer drop.Last edited by trillian; 13-03-2017, 03:40 PM.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam

It was the looks that attracted me to it too. It's mechanically identical to the standard Goblin 700, the main difference is the canopy and two extension pieces that bolt onto the front of the standard frames and which move the ESC to a top mount position. Unfortunately those extension pieces prevent the standard skids from being used, at least without a degree of modification. It would be nice if there was an easy way to use the standard skids because it's a bit unstable of the 'flipper' landing gear.Originally posted by trillian View PostI really like the look of the Goblin Speed. I was out flying my Logo 20 minutes ago and what looked like a s-64 flew directly overhead at what seemed like less than 100m above me. Possibly one of these?

I got 3 in yesterday and 3 in today on my Forza 450, the weather has been lovely in Kent. The Forza is such a great little heli when the winds are calm, its so light on the sticks but never twitchy, its a real shame you can't get parts for it, I hope JR get there act together...Matt
