I took my ye old faithful 550 out today, pretty windy but good fun, I had a whole road resurface crew come stand next to me and watch! There is only one thing to do at that point and that's hit idle up 2 and start jamming the sticks in the corners lol. They were impressed and so was I, put some really good flights in and the heli flew perfectly In the wind.

I'm loving this weather
Had another good go and even the 130x behaved today 😱

A few inverted circuits with all three Heli's still feel more comfortable with left than right though

only took the 450 out to the field today and the wing ... had 4 flights on the 450 and 5 on the wing ... I really should pull the trigger on another wing ....

3 on the logo this afternoon with the 4 point tic tocs shaping up nicely. Piro tic tocs still a pipe dream for now. Now off to do some kayaking!

4th pack on the 500.. not abreath of wind.. fast constant piro out of a stall turn and a tail grip bolt sheared and looks like it hit the boom. TH but all I could manage was to slow the erratic flight path to the ground. Boom block forwards looks OK

I rarely have to change the mainshaft. Blades are OK too. One skid tube and haven't checked the tt gears - was a bit huffy and put it away for now. Normally I'd expect to auto a failed tail but I was spinning it flat out in the piros when there was a 'whump' sound and power change..hit Th as it was spinning downwards, lofted it and lost most headspeed but still spinning too fast and too low to direct an auto..fluttered down not too hard. It is my beater heli so goes in regularly so i assume a weakened screw from previous thumps..

Went out first thing this morning when it was cooler, 550 DFC, Mini Titian and the 130x, used every battery I had and had my first taste of inverted ( just holding it at the top of a loop, That's Mark R1's fault, cos of those pic's ;-) IMG_2286.jpg

Finished repairing my 700 LE this morning and had 2 successful flights this afternoon which reminded me how nice it was flying before the tail blade grip departed. Very happy chappy again! Really like the feel of The Spin main blades, that I chose on Varelco's comments, which have a nice pop to them.
