I had a very short flight on my 450 I'd just spent 2 hours fixing and I went and crashed it again. Dumb thumbs moment I think.

Had my best flying day ever today! Such a beautiful, calm day. Not even a breeze.

After practicing on so many nasty, windy, gusty days this year, fighting the wind on every manoeuvre, to fly on a still day felt so easy! Everything works!
I'm still buzzing from it. Must've done about 15 flights on the Logo and would've flown more if it hadn't been for a slightly 'awkward' auto approach that went wrong. . . Taking inspiration from everything I saw at Air on the weekend, I have started to change my autos from 45 degree descent style ones to steep descent transitioning into a long low approach and flaring at the very end. They'd been going well all day (occasionally overcooked and landing 15ft away) but this time the heli was offline from the patch and looow, and managed to clip the long grass at the edge of the patch causing the heli to tumble at quite some speed.

Amazingly (considering most peoples' opinion that Logos crash badly) the only visible damage is two skid-holding nylon bolts, a slightly impacted tail boom (blade impact) and small chip on the blade root where the blade folded and swung into the blade grip.

Perhaps taking further inspiration from Air, or just because of the amazing day's flying, I didn't feel bad at all, giggled, picked up the pieces (two) and came home!

Went to field today for a couple of hours and no wind so went for it and got into doing loops wth the 600, wow what a rush when they go good. Some dodgy ones but by end of afternoon most were good, even started hanging inverted for longer over the top. Woohoo

Went out for a play after work my god am I glad I did

I am now a member of the lawn mower club with both the 450 and 550dfc

After reading about someone doing their first loops on here someone said "great, now do it backwards" so I did that, felt a bit strange but tidied it up nicely in about 10 attempts

I was flying the 450 like it was a 130x throwing it round like a loon

I set my mate Pete a challenge by text this morning telling him he'd flip his FBL honeybee this evening, he could do it with his mcpx so just needed to transfer the skills to the bigger model he did that...................then did it with his newly built 500dfc I was seriously impressed as it doesn't seem that long ago he was talking like it would be years before that happened

All in all an awesome evening NO WIND!!! No broken Heli's and we both came away absolutely buzzin

Finally managed to get some stick time in today.... was getting rusty, and I wasnt that shiny to start off with

One flight with my 450, two with my 700e. Starting to really enjoy flying the 700e; I completely forgot how big it is and was throwing it around the sky.

3 flights with Raptor! Bit windy really but confidence getting there, some nice low tail slides, bit of grass cutting and low rainbows n tic tocs! Still not as confident as I used to be with the helis, but im getting there

3 flights of hovering on the 450 then i managed a circuit on the 130x
it was my 1st and after it i kept crashing.
i do wonder if being left handed has an effect on my control

Well this is my first time righting on this site and what a good time to start, What a few days I had this week been out with my good friend mark flying helis I had a text from mate mark in the morning saying its time to flip my fbl honey bee king and feeling quite nerves got to the field in the evening had a go and wow I done it felt so good felt so chuff of my self. This year I got my self a align 500 dfc and built it all and set up the 3gx 3.0v my self. got the 500 in the air and started flying it around gingerly and kept thinking sorely I can do it with this so I give it a go, and my mate mark couldn't believe what I did nor did I at the time but what a feeling finish up cause it was getting to dark me mark went home feeling well chuff with our self's for me doing flips and mark doing grass cut just orsome.

here my new toy a little f-16 edf if flew nice out of the box but the role rate was really slow no fun at all in fact first time I rolled it coming out of a stall turn I slammed it in to the floor here's the video

so I fixed it and added aileron and now it spins like a dart and is a lot more fun had 5 batteries thought it today and wow is it fun


also I dragged the mx2 out of the attic and thought I have a couple of batteries in her fly are die sort of thing and noticed I've been flying it with a sports prop
whipped that off quick and put a slow fly prop on it and wow it prop hangs now I was having a blast today its funny how changing a prop can make the plane fly loads better


then I got my big edf out and it is fast fun flew nicely and did 2 of my best landings sweet happy days


then I got out my trex 450 pro beastx put 2 batteries in her and the tail kicked ..still 2 nice flights but it was windy today
all in all I had a great couple of hours ripping the air up nice day today total worth going out ..
