model shop sucks

Hi all just having a bit of a moan (probably down to the weather, or could be time of month ha ha ) Why is there not a decent model shop in north london. Tried them all i think. I do normally use rob at evoc great service but some times you need some thing straight away. Before i bought the beam i was spending loads of money at one shop inparticuler they seemed quite helpfull. But when they found out i bought the Beam, they just don't want to know any more, Any one else had problems with unhelpfull shops. or is it only me.

I have to agree......the nearest helpful shop to me with stock is TJD's in Kent and i'd rather poke myself in the eye before i go to Alshobbies

when i started this hobby my local shop sold me a t-rex450xl. than as i got better i decided i wanted the new (at the time) 450se v2, so went in and they basically tried to sell me a blade 400!!! saying it was better and cheaper and was more than capable for me!!?? they basicaly told me they were not stocking align because there wher cheaper helis on the market, so stopped going to that shop a while ago!! WELL i went in yesterday and guess wot ALIGN HELIS EVERYWHERE!!!! tossers!! obviously didnt have a clue about helis before,,,,

Lucky here in leicester i am close to midland helis and real raptors and use them both,both are very good.

Skyline is the only choice 'close' (50 miles) to me (Surrey) for heli stuff. I usually go with mail order though as I dont have to spend half a day round trip to visit and postage is less than fuel!

Just give them a miss. your alright if you buy all your stuff from them but i did not want a trex 450se i think i got that bit right juding by the amount of second hand one's on ebay.

i take it that they dont stock much stuff for the beam, i also think the reason for so many 450s for sale is because when the came out a lot of people bought them and now the have moved on to bigger helis its not because they are no good and also other helis have come on the market that are as good or better the t-rex450 is still a good starter with spares widely available

Not slagging off trex's i am sure they are alright but i wanted some thing differant, But they did try to sell me the 450se knowing that there was a new model coming out.But it's not about what heli you fly the way things are at the moment with the economy i would think they would try to keep all customers happy, Then they would keep coming back. At the end of the day i will probably buy a 600 nitro which they do stock so it will be there loss. Del

the 600 is a great looking bit of kit there is a few up at the club and they look awesome in the air so i dont think you'll go far wrong with one i still dont know which way i'll go either another elec or a raptor 30 or the 600 time will tell .it also depends on my eyesight but thats another story.

the only reason why there so many trex450's for sale anywhere is because align have cornered the market, most shops sell align, most people fly align, theres thousands of em out there, so the for sale percentage is higher "naturally"
