Thought about it but decided to spend a week flying at RC Hotel in Corfu, 7 days flying in the sunshine for the same cost as watching others fly for 3 days hmmmm! Looking forward to championships in September, just as good as 3dm IMO.

I have to agree Hellski whats the point in going to 3DM Spain when you could go flying a week in Corfu for similiar money.

3D champs have stepped up to the plate and filled the void for 2009. Well done Rob, Edders

given whats happened over recent years i don't think i could support 3DM anymore. infact i don't support it anymore and the sooner it buggers off to the USA the better imo.

3DM is like F1 on a much smaller scale. it follows the money wherever that leads to and to heck with the rest.

I was quite ****ed to hear it had moved to spain a while back ago, seeing as its 45Mins drive from where i live, and now its some thousand miles away,

Yet, its a UK event and its in Spain? Sigh

Ha Ha me and Rapt50 are doing the same...........RCHotel all booked up for a week in June and we can't wait

We will also visit the 3D Champs instead of 3DM

i was really fed up when i heard the 3d masters might be in spain.but i heard a long time ago so it wasnt a shock just very sad that it wasnt in the uk..but we will go to spain and have a holiday out of it anyway and my children are so excited about the trip,
lets get real i wouldnt compare 3d champions to 3d masters its totally different.3d masters is an international event with the best pilots from around the world.why do you guys feel the need to compare two events why cant they make there own way without comparison
i was spectating at the champs but didnt enjoy it,yet at the masters i really enjoyed ever momment,,
how can you say 3d champs is better when the pilote are international and we had the chance to meet and see pilots from around the planet,also the evening flyin was unreal,the place was electic
good luck to 3d champs this year but no way does it compare to the masters,

I never went to the Masters in the UK...

Only the 1st 3D Champs which was good fun and a great day out.

2nd 3D Champs Missed it for 2 reasons.. wrote my car off and flew to spain and to much going on on in 3 days so missed it.

This year I'll go again because its a good day out be it the Fly in or the actually comp itself.

There is no Clubmans this year either so this will be the Event of 09 for 3D heli core in the UK

With Clubmans gone shame 3D Champs couldn't of created a 3rd section for 1st time competors but theres probably not enough time in the 2 days for that as well!!!

nice to hear your speaking for everyone then,including my friends, i like to hear of any event being run,so please understand im not putting the champs down in any way
but shouldnt be compared to 3d masters. they are totally different events and i think shouldnt be compared

The intermediate class last year contained alot of the clubman 3d entrants of last year anyway so it is pretty much the same standard as that, so wouldn't be a need for another group i don't think.

I am looking forward to both championships and masters in a way it is good that masters has gone to another country and would be nice if it changed country every year to give other countries a chance to host the event as it is an international not a UK event. Craig is right though you dont get the international pilts at 3d champs so standard of flying is lower but still the organisation ect cannot be knocked as i thought it ran really well last year.
