Has anyone used this sim? I'm wondering how it compares to Phoenix -apparently they have just released a Mac version of Aerofly which makes it quite appealing but there doesn't seem to be any kind of demo.

I've got it but can't offer a comparison to Phoenix as I keep missing the good deals that appear in the FS section!

In general I prefer it to Realflight if that's any help.

Aerofly Pro Deluxe is ok. As a tool for learning orientation and stick inputs, almost any sim will do and there's not much need for all the fancy graphics if you you treat the sim as a learning tool rather than a computer game. If you want all the bling and more accurate and adjustable flying characteristics then the more popular Phoenix and Real Flight will give you those benefits to varying degrees.

Ask yourself what you want from your sim, then decide which one is for you.

I want to use it for starting to learn 3D and I would like the ability to adjust flying characteristics to match my own helis. It is a shame Phoenix or Realflight won't make their products Mac compatible. Having to reboot into Windows just to use the sim is quite annoying.

Totally agree and I'll drop XP totally when I get the mac sim

I just hope these sell enough for the others to take notice and then maybe they'll do mac versions. Although there biggest hurdle is converting to there Graphic to open gl from direct X.
