Good as it warns how things can go wrong but I fear it is generally just fuel for the Antis

it might have been a plank pilot that shot him down using the same frequency!

I could swear I read somewhere that there is a heli club that will
                    a) chop off your fingers if you don't use their fuel
                    b) chop off your thumbs if you try sell fuel

Some off these older timers are incredibly resilient, similar thing happened at local club here, chap hand launched a plank in the best javelin style, prop left an inch deep, 8 inch long groove down his arm. He described it as a mere scratch when wrapping it in his wipe down cloth.

Hmmm Personally if my heli was heading towards me at anything that I felt was too close I'd be running !!!!

The chap the OP is on about is in more need of the Darwin award..........

LOL. That's why my flying is so bad.

Strange story though. Worrying, helpful, inspiring but a definite warning about keeping them at a distance.

I have to say my tx would be first casualy I would chuck it at it.

I dont mind these stories being told from time to time as Im sure we can all be guilty of being lax in our safety from time to time.

again just as a reminder the tail rotor can be just as dangerous as the main blades. a mate got his fingers well sliced from one when a heli on a bench went a bit wild.

I think what were saying is have fun but take care all of ya.
                            All the best
