  • I'm Bored

I'm bored out of my mind!

Saturday and Sunday afternoons are our flying times, and the weather is pxxxing it down so no chance this afternoon. What makes it worse is I've got nothing to build, or fix, or meddle with in the shed at the moment!

I've got a plane on order (not an ARTF - a kit, so there's building to be done!) and am hopefully picking up a new (well, 2nd hand) heli at the end of this week, so will have plenty to be getting on with next weekend, just diddly squat on a day when I really want it!

So, I've been in there doing odd jobs like fixing the alarm and clearing the work bench etc. I've also taken a few photos for insurance purposes and though I'd share one with you all....

They used to be all over the dining room and the spare bedroom, but when I was due to become a Dad earlier this year, I spent my Christmas holidays building the shed. By the time I'd had the shed made to order, then insulated it, lined it, fitted the alarm and locks that my insurers specified, wired it with 8 sockets, lighting and frost protection heating, then put in the benches and furniture, I reckon it cost in the region of £800 or more.

That's a lot for an 8 x 6 shed! But I reckon it's the only shed in my street with a carpet and a heater!

Hope to have my own "Little Shed" soon, have taken the brave the decision to sell my other love "Ninja-ZX9R", as it has not moved since the helis arrived, and with the proceeds, th two old shed are going, and a new log cabi will replace them, first saw these at a local center, but have now found more, and for aroun £2k you can gt one about 10' x 15', no final decision yet, but they all look good, 28mm or 35mm thick walls, they look great, and should be warm as well, once it is done, Ill share some pics with you all,

Happy Flying ( if it evers stops blowing and raining)

ive done sod all today. was looking forward to going out for a fly, testing the gyro, doing some more setting up etc, but instead ive had my hair cut, been to the model shop and bought a new RX battery pack, fitted a new set of blades to the raptor, charged the batteries for the hummingbird, and thats it. so now im sat here, fingers crossed for tomorrow being better weather so i can at least get an hours flying in.

I have had a really good day, been to 2 model shops and had a cup of coffee made for me in one of them . Bought some bling for the heli and then worked on my Raptor kit.
All in all a very productive day, couldnt fly because it was raining but then if I had have flown I wouldn't have worked on my kit so it was every cloud has a silver lining sort of thing.

well I said I had a good day yesterday but that was until I posted a pic of my new project (raptor 50 ) last night and Ade saw I had put a washer on where it shouldn't have been so I had to take the engine out and redo it.
I suppose its one of those things where if you say something is going well then you just know in the next few minutes all hell will break loose.

That's better - had my fix now.

Had a great afternoon's flying with my Voyager (with new muscle pipe fitted), Sceadu and Oxalys.

I now feel at ease with life!
