What are you working on?

It's Tron lower frame repairs for me, last weekend the Dnamic destroyed itself in mid-air when a grip link broke so I had to splice in some new CF with epoxy.

Repairing my trex500 after a horse fly kept attacking me , lost orientation and down it went. Destroyed a battery, tail , damaged a capacitor on my esc( repaired) bent the motor mount, several bearings, blades, gears . I'm now converting to fbl as I've had the parts for 3 years.

Yeah I destroyed a battery (along with plenty else) - like it’s not already expensive enough lol

I am now building my new Tron 7.0 Advance. My Logo 550 suffered a slight crash, ( pilot error) but on hitting the grass it caught fire. The whole lot burnt out, I have never seen anything like it. By the time I had gone to my car and got my fire extinguisher nothing was salvageable. I will report on progress re the build of the Tron if anyone is interested.

Absolutely!

I had to abandon my Dnamic for now & transfer it's electrics to my 5.8 & will fly that instead for a while, I kinda fly what I have parts for & I have other 700s so it's fine.

Replacing the main tail drive gear on my Mini Titan after it shed a couple of teeth in flight. Suspect the old plastic teeth had work hardened as they looked OK during the pre-flight checks. Made for an interesting few seconds of violent tail wagging before it landed safely though.

I am getting on well with the Tron. I have assembled the frame, rotor head tail etc. I have spent the afternoon soldering, Pro plus connectors on three new batteries and the speed controller for 12 s configuration. I am fairly exhausted but being revived by a large pinot grigio.

Funnily enough I was soldering connectors on new packs earlier too - AS150s in my case.

Bike's yes, but had trouble bleeding the clutch a few years back, got fed up & started converting to cable clutch then lost all interest. Same with my RG250...got it all built & ready for MOT, riding to the test station suddenly lost power & the oil and coolant mixed. Drained it started pulling it apart & gave up. That was 3 years ago now. Very strongly considering selling the slabby. Keep being pestered to sell my RG but I'd rather they made an offer on the slabby and all the spares & body work I'd built up too.
I now just go Kayaking, Snorkelling & the wife has got me into jogging now & as I do a 4 day week I get loads of time to do it too.
