  • 32" Full HD TV Recommendations

    Howdie,

Possibly looking at getting a 32" Full 1080i LCD TV.

Looking at spending around £500-550. It will be used in conjunction with Sky HD and eventually a Blueray DVD.

Can anyone make any recommendations on a good one?

    Rgds

    Get a 1080p TV avoid 1080i

Very few things are 1080i so plumt for the 1080p

LG do a decent 1080p model number is LG 3700

cant recomend one, but you could get a plasma for that sort of money but it would be bigger, also go for 1080p instead of i.

Cheers for the "i" advice, ill certatinly go down that route. Size is limited to 32" due to space.

This one is looking like a good contender:

Anything from the Panasonic range is by far the most superior to any other brands.

          As for 1080p/i, it's all sh*te

From what I understand, unless you are under 6 foot from the screen you will be hard pushed to notice the difference.

From ten foot, they will look exactly the same, and from 15 you can't really even define resolution changes.

Its marketing, and it matters not, these panny plasmas continue to win the group tests and I don't think they are 1080p..

For me there is only one purchase and its a 37" plasma from Panasonic, it will be within budget and blows away everything else..

Beware of trusting the feeds in comet/dixons e.t.c as they probably are not set up properly and are not accurate to how the TV will actually perform.

              1080p VS 1080i

There is no Real difference you'll be able to see

BUT 1080p is supported by more bluray players and Sky and sony PS etc etc

so 1080p wins in that respect

Got a Sony 26" at the moment which is superb, but not full resoloution HD hence whating to update.

Which, if i do decide to buy a new one, the old one will be up for grabs
