    Alan.

You wouldnt believe we are all (supposedly) grown men but when we get together we are just like bloody animals.

Swearing/**** taking having a great laugh all day long but rest assured safety and ground rules do come first.

As we all know these are not toys but weapons in the wrong hands so no-one gets away with stupidity when flying.

In general we are all raising the bar every week just getting the better of each other and having a laugh along the way.

    Fun... You bet its fun.

i had a bugger of a day, anything that could go wrong did

brand new (2 flights) throttle servo burned out, governor wouldn't work with only servo i had to replace it with at the time (3001) , stripped the threads on canopy mounting posts (fixed that by forcing in some BIG screws , so eventually i got the canopy back on and heli had been on the bench so long i forgot to put the fuel clip on, went to start heli the engine was flooded, canopy back off glow plug out blow fuel over my trousers so it looks like i pi**ed myself with pink pee, then to top it off i put a hole in my fuel tank with a screwdriver (had a spare in my box thankfully)
eventually i got heli in the air and the wind picked up to a small cyclone
ach well at least i never crashed

now awaiting a mail from hitec to see if they will fix or replace the servo without proof of purchase date as i dunno what i did with the receipt (even tho it has a big date of manufacture sticker of 07.08 so the bloody thing was only made 8 months ago and their guarantee is for 2 years)
I dont' fancy my chances to be honest.
Alan we all have our bad days. keep your chin up mate. that is the beauty of having some good people around you to keep you looking on the bright side when things are going wrong.

i am sure you will have it all sorted out and back in the Air very soon
      cheers,
      paul

thanks dougie ... it is air worthy at the moment but with a crappy throttle servo and no governor its kinda limiting.

rest assured tho it will have a nice new servo in there before next weekend regardless of what hitec say

Noticed it last night, was out in the back garden and it was still light enough to fly and it was quarter to 8, summer is nearly here

Looks like another nice day at the farm Tim .. I got out yesterday to the field as well .. Bloody lovely is was all day .. Only flew half a tank through one of my heli's as my hand was really playing up ... Got some flights in with a few planes throughout the day which is better stuffing one of those than one of my heli's .. I go more for the crack than the flying though

No, I think one gas guzzling 90 size machine is enough for me
Nitro is good but not as simple as electric, I miss plug and fly flying

I flew tonight been sunny all day, tonight when i decided to go it was cloudy and very dim light on the second flight hard to which way it was going on many occasions, thats when i decided to land and save it for another day.

didnt get out the weekend as i was working so i was really looking forward to going, first flight was brilliant with the 450, second is when i kept loosing it the low light against the trees. tail started playing up a bit towards the end 401 was flashing when i landed it, which needs invistigating before its next flight
If You Cant Dazzle' Em With Brilliance, Baffle' Em With emmmm you know the rest
