same.... 1st decent day for ages
I get to the field. throttle servo is dead. (i just switched to 6v and although the blurb says the servo was rated for 6v upon inspection one of the wee chips inside is burnt out) I am unsure if it was my instalation/ gov setup that caused it but i don't see how that could be the case.
it's less than 2 months old so will be going back to hitec.

had to replace it with a spare 3001 i had in my box.

but seeing as i changed the servo my gov settings were all messed up (3001 not fast enough anyway) so rather than reprogramme the gov i disconnected it until i get the other servo repaired (or more than likely buy a new one coz hitec will deny liability)

so a good hour of fannying about this morning before i could get in the air.

I know the 3001 is crap, but at least it got me flying. it's about 14 months old that wee servo and still doing the business (slowly )

well after hover testing in my garden yesterday my battery disconnected itself twice and the heli came down and landed on its skids today I check all the shafts for bends and find my main shaft has a very slight bend and im out stock so no flying for me today .... explains why I couldnt get my 401 to hold though (vibes)

I put three packs through the 500 hovering around while the missus looked after the dog.Mainly trying to get my orientation skills up to par.Managed to impress the missus with a badly managed flip successful day as i didn't crash.Must practice on the sim more to get this flying lark sorted once and forever
