..in my opinion the Knight 3D with the pucker GRP canopy is probably one of the prettiest heli's out there (after Raptors, of course!)

See you had to add this bit,, (after Raptors, of course!)

i agree put a good canopy on an old rappy and they do still look good after all thease years

as I'm no stick errr, (re phrase that) hard 3D'r and do'nt need max performance or do hard core flying its, made me think again about blinging up the Titan again,
plus if I do get another heli it just makes it harder to choose which one to take to the field
Allways take the rappy the 500 and a scale heli whenever I go flying,
        gives me all flying options,

My Titan goes to the field everytime I do as well.. I tend to fly the K3D more tho ( with the nice canopy ) ...I do think looks come down to it sometimes as well .. Yeh the Rappy is old hat now after all these years .. but it still sells and its still quite nice to fly .. From Noobie to mild 3D .. I cant make up my mind whether to keep mine now lmao ...

I wouldn't put any bits on your Titan pete, it's throwing good money away as it will make next to no difference. I can't believe I'm saying this, but your probably best off getting a trex 600. Parts are easy to come by, they fly well, they are cheap to maintain and there are plenty of upgrade options about if you do want to bling it.

There's another way. How about a Xero G Rush conversion for the Titan? Not cheap, but big weight savings and eCCPM control for your Raptor. Whilst you are at it you can put metal components on the head where they really count (not just for bling) and a nice new canopy if required. That'll sharpen up the flying no end.

On the other hand, if it's more the looks you are after then why not go for an all-metal flybarless head (plus electronics) and the best canopy you can afford. Then there's the Quick UK fins, alloy tail tube grip and a shiny new boom. It really depends on what you want to spend (give mem figure to work to and I'll spend it!). Don't forget the Quick UK clutch.

But for the cost of it (and it's residual value thereafter) you would be much better off with a new kit as you will struggle to get the raptorro fly like a more modern machine without spending a lot of cash. A new kit will be wear free, no worn bearings, clutch, head components etc.

Peter, I know your in to your scale, why not put the Titan in another scale body and get something new for your chuck around machine.

Yes, there's the new UH-1 kit for the Titan. Depends what you want really, there's definitely no "right" answer.

Yes Jamie as I've got time on hands at the moment might just do as you say and get a scale kit for the Titan,
Think I might look for a Jet Ranger kit and take my time re a new 50
I'll wait till I've been to your club a few times and dicide then.

                    Cheers
