Oh yes, I know of those. I had a sort-of-friend who actually lived on the grounds of Impington Village College.

I know they pulled down Bradwells Court but didn't know they'd done anything with Petty Cury or the Lion Yard. Not been into Cambridge town centre for a year or so.

I went to the IVC during my school years, that too has changed since my time there, the main buildings are still intact, but my old Basket Ball area has been flattened for an indoor swimming pool, plus they cater for disabled children & European students too.

Yes Cambridge in the Lion Yard area has been completely changed, the huge car park is now a fancy shopping complex, plus I've heard where Dixons, HMV plus the library are, there gonna flatten that and extend on the new part.

There trying to modernise that area of Cambridge due to the Grafton Center taking most of the shoppers and trade, trouble is most of the haunts as a teenager where I used to hang out with my friends are completely gone, and TBH we now go to Peterborough as the parking is 80% cheaper, plus they have everything there you ever need, whereas Cambridge now markets more for the designer brands that cost a fortune.

Have you seen that huge housing & shopping development on the left hand side as you leave the Histon A14 fly over and start driving down Histon Road?I remember when all of that used to be farmers fields, now the only thing that separates Cambridge from Histon is the A14, not to mention the monstrous traffic cues at the rush hours now even more people are using the same roads.

Next will be the congestion charge to enter Cambridge, not that it doesn't cost a fortune now! Mind you they have an excellent Shuttle service every fifteen minutes, and it only costs a couple of quid, so I guess that's a plus point for the old town.

Crikey! It has changed a fair bit then. Do the pics of Google maps have a fair indication?
