Another Knight 50 Question

Mainly asking Ade & raptor50lover here regarding the canopy, the only thing putting me off is the bit of the canopy that sticks up around the swash area. Would it be possible to remove to give a more streamlined look without creating problems with the mounting pylons ?

I have my decision down to either the knight or evo as I want a ccpm setup. Got a hyper & MP2 on order

canopy also moved back 30mm and moved the top canopy mounting posts to a different point on the frames this also helps to pull the canopy in a bit tighter at the back too.

Nice guide Ade, will certainly read thru it again during build/setup & I have the red threadlock on order for sorting that pinion. Bolts thru the servo tray sounds like a good idea aswell and the canopy mod looks much better.

I'll let you know if I run into any problems

Oops, forgot to ask. Would it be better to put a futaba 9404 on the throttle instead of a JR 811 as I have a brand new 1 sitting around doing nothing. ?

assume you mean 9402?

depends what gov your using but there wont be much noticeable difference. I havent tried that servo on the throttle so its difficult to say. 811 is digital but cored motor where the 9402 is coreless but not digital.

both have their merits.

I have never used a govenor on my raptor but thinking about getting a rev lock 10 for the knight. After running my x400 with a govenor at a constant head speed I feel it maybe worth while as it certainly seems to make things easier. The servo is definately a 9404 tho. not to worry, I'll stick with the 811.

The 9404 is coreless at 5.7kg and 0.11 over 60 degrees

My Knight 50 will be arriving tommorrow and really looking forward to putting her together. S3152's all round, OS 50 hyper, 401/9254, CSM revlock 10. Thanks to Ade for the advice so far and his great site to reference during build and maintenance.

Fixxxer, have any thoughts on your canopy colour scheme?
