Friday the 13th strikes again

Well i nearly didn't go flying today because on the last friday the 13th i binned my NSP but i thought lightning couldn't strike twice, WRONG
OMI filter fell to pieces on my 700, had a suddern lean run hit the hold but it was to late, blew and big hole in the piston of my new OS91, 5 tanks old.
And to top it off the parts are few and far between at the moment so i am not sure how long it will take to get the new piston.
So my 700 is now grounded, at least it gave me time to nearly finish my vision, hopefully fly that sunday.
That is deffinately the last time i fly on friday the 13th

I did 2 packs today... been having bad luck all week so thought it would change today lol and it did 2 great flights for me still doing tail in but can move it around the garden with no problems

that seriously sucks mate, but it's the very reason I always tell people not to run fuel magnets in an exhaust pressure system. Hopefully ripmax will have the parts soon if they don't already.

I honestly just forgot it was friday the 13th today so I was not nervous. It's all in the mind I guess. Did 2 flights today just practised.
If I had known it was another friday the 13th today then i'd be all nervous and mental lol It's all in the mind i guess, don't think of it and it won't affect you mate.

I went up the flying field at 5pm tonight knowing it was Friday 13th and thought about you after the last time when I lifted the heli into the car.

I thought "No it can't possibly happen to me" Luckily I had 3 tanks with no trouble at all.

I just can't believe your bad luck mate. Gutted for you.

Just one of those things i suppose, can't do nothing about it, engine is nearly fully stripped, luckaly it was only the piton and ring gone, everything else is ok and undamaged, just think it might be a bit of time before it is back in the air waiting parts

That really sucks - I went flying yesterday, both my 100cc YAK and my T600NSP, fortunately all went well. However, dumped my T500 the other day and did a bit more damage than first thought, bent the main rotor hub. All fixed now after a hefty credit card bill
