    Hi Craig

Yep already got them on order but hardly the whole new model most were expecting, Thunder Tiger seem to be going down the scale route more and more, maybe they see this as a way for them to contiue to flog what's now a fairly old design.
Nothing wrong with the Rappy 50 but it is old design now and hard to see why any one would buy one new now unless they wanted it for a scale job, certainly some to be picked up second hand for very good money but you could get better for your money now if you were buying new.

    Cheers
    Bob

Is that £299 with a TT53, muffler, govener and carbon blades? If so - then that is pretty good vfm imho and might give the Vision 50 a run

if it was i would but loads...
from what i know its £299 for the kit which i think is very reasonable.it also comes with a painted canopy available in three colours
            also available raptor 50/tt53 engine/hi flow muffler/govenor/blades
i think it is a good helicopter that has been made better..more response and more pitch range is better +15 -15
            and a generally smarter looking
            nice one

it may be an old design but the flying at the end proves its FAR from past it

i recon there are loads if pilots who sold there raptor and are now regretting selling it...we did when we sold the 90 that stefan won clubman with..but i have got it on loan again thanks to my friends robin.
and we have another raptor 90 we are selling(200 quid with os 91)
but i would buy another 50 for sure no problem

Pity about the speeded up vid making it look like an electric 500 being given a thrashing The smoke looks so strange when its speeded up!

It it doesn't have the metal pitch frame that many think is essential for 3D (cetainly made a difference to mine).

It seems they still don't think they got the value out of the big frame mould tooling yet (Even at 8 year old Taiwan prices that big 1+1 mould tool would have cost well over £15k). I'm guessing they ran some immense number off it and they have a whole warehouse full of frame and pitch arm mouldings to use up (and the stock is surely shifting a lot slower than it used to). Otherwise it would be ccpm (like the ElyQ).

At least it now has decent pitch range and a metal head block!

i agree...but it does work well and not everyone wants ccpm.i like some ccpm machines and others i hate and at least the raptor works well
still seems to be really liked by everyone really, i think most people have had a raptor and not many pilots have negative comment about it
                    thanks craig
