Genuine parts or pattern ?

Hi, just thinking about getting some spare parts in for the T500 and was looking through Ebay and came across this seller :

Wings, Wheels and Rotors.

all the T500 parts he sells are pattern items but some of it is very well priced compered to the genuine Align parts.

So has anyone used him or the pattern parts he sells and if so what are they like in terms of quality and fit compared to the original ??

Are there certain parts that your would only ever buy the genuine item and are there other things you think you can get away with using pattern parts ??

I know it's probably a case of you get what you pay for but just interested in what you think..

i personally wouldn't bother with cheap pattern parts. most of the parts are under quite a bit of stress in a heli if the cheap parts lets go it'll cost a hell of a lot more than you saved

I've used a couple of clone parts in the rotorhead of my TRex 600N and they've been absolutely fine so far and the fit was perfect. I think the brand was called Sonix. Admittedly I don't fly hard 3D but as far as I can tell, they are exactly the same as the Align parts and I'd be happy to buy them again.
