  • the basics of rc helis

    hi everybody
didnt know where to put this thread because its not a helicopter or anything thats attached to one but is about a book
my dad bought me a book last week and its title is 'the basics of rc helis'
i have found it a really good book but i think it would be even better for those that have only just started
    there a 19 chapters:
    1. simulators
    2. selecting a helicopter
    3. selecting a radio
    4. the helicopter engine
    5. the gyro
    6. accessories
    7. required tools
    8. where & what to buy
    9. building the helicopter
    10. radio installation
    11. making initial adjustments at home
    12. helicopter theory & control
    13. safety
    14. dynamic adjustments
    15. hovering
    16. repairs
    17. forward flight
    18. pre-aerobatics
    19. aerobatics

this book has definitely taught me a lot more things about the helicopter itself. before i kind of knew what things were for and there purpose but never understood properly
although the book is probably aimed at beginners it is very helpful for the intermediate to!
one fault i would pick up on tho is that it is although it talks about electric it is a bit biased towards nitro but it is still good for electric because the principals are the same
i like the book a lot and maybe some of you were looking at getting a book to tell you about all the different things in a heli and what they do
    all the best to everybody
