Fair point. I've used my standard verniers all thru my build. It'll be close enough I'm sure. After all, you are kinda limited on the link adjustments - you can only do one full turn at a time eh?

Depends on the heli you're building... some don't have sided links (Aurora for one) so you can do half a turn.
Rocket city links (Quick UK links) are also unsided and very good quality links if you can get them at the right size to replace your heli's existing links.

You know I've been wondering that since I first started in this hobby, seems crazy that helis don't have them. I suppose the reason being cost and you'd only ever really need to adjust them once, unlike a buggy where you are constantly setting up for different tracks.Originally posted by Holst View PostI dont understand why heis dont have turnbuckles the same as you have on RC cars.

Especially when a few titanium turnbuckles would only cost a few extra pounds if bought in bulk.sigpic

I'm not familiar with turnbuckles or how they work, their strength, etc?
I did a quick search on Google and found JDCarbon website which sells them, but no real info about what they are and how they work and why, etc?
Anybody care to take up the slack?

A turnbuckle has the rod ends screwed into the centre portion. One end has a left-handed thread and one has a right-handed thread. When you turn the centre bit and keeping the rods from turning themselves both end rods will either go out or in.

Interestingly, Fast-lad now do these for the 450 and the 250

Flying Hobby do them for the 500, 600 and 700, but in stainless rather than titanium. Reports I have seen on other forums are good for the stainless ones on 600's. There is also a video on YT showing the fine adjustment available... how this translates in to the real world esp when you take in to account any other slop would be interesting to know...
