i've just finished fitting my scale 222 onto my shuttle and she flys beautifully, the extra weight makes it sit in the hover so well!!!
got a little work todo on the retracts but apart from that it's all good!!!

i don't think so, i got it off ebay, it was designed for a concept 30, but it was nothing a dremmel and a bit of jiggery pokery wouldn't solve!!
go for it, i feel so proud of myself!!!

i'm not putting pics up untill i've re painted it!! its a bit bland at the moment!! theres a fair bit of work still to do and i don't want to unveil her untill she's ready!!

Sounds nice, would be interested in some pics when she's finsihed. I have an airwolf with hawk mechanics sitting in the garage. Must get around to repainting it and replacing the engine. It's actually never been flown but had it second hand and dont like the silvery grey colour scheme, the black looks much smarter. I think this is based on a 222 isn't it ?

yeh it is, there are a few subtle differences tho, there are slight extentions on the sponsons (winglets) and a different exhaust layout, one thing to watchout for it it will handle quite differently to a pod and boom machine because of the extra weight, i found i had to do some major tweeking on my throttle and pitch curves as i found my rather agressive curves that i had on my pod and boom were too much for the extra weight and it was really sensitive on the collective, (one click on the collective either made it drop like a brick but it took a lot to stop it falling and the engine would bog down)

what servo on the collective? Might want to try a 3152 being digital its much more accurate and better holding power.

i'm running a standard servo at the moment, plan to go digital on everything as soon as i can persuade my g/f she doesn't need a holiday!!
