I hear you on the Thunder Power shock Nath - but if their new range of packs follows suit on their Trex250 pack, they have a potential winner there.

Shay, sorry mate, I thought you were looking for 6S packs that will hold the power well instead of upgrading to 8S - so you will want the 8S pack instead then - stick or brick format

I'm in the middle of converting my t-rex 600 to 8S, and I can't do anything now as I have NO money to spend on battery packs for the thing. So I gotta wait so long for the money, as I get £50 a month. So I can't fly for at least 4 Months. DAMN!


I understand you are not directly asking for help here but the tone certainly implies it.

All I was doing is pointing out that this hobby is one hell of a money orientated one!.

I don't want anything from you, i wouldn't get it anyway.

I'll undoubtedly get flamed here by Mike W and Ashley etc. but I certainly felt the tone implied it as well. It came across as 'Oh they've been a couple of other threads on here where people have clubbed together and helped out, perhaps they'll feel sorry for me as well'.
My 15 yr old son doesn't get any pocket money at all let alone £50.00 a month. If he wants something and I can afford it I'll buy it for him, if I can't unlucky son wait for your birthday or christmas.
Even at only 15 I would have thought you'd have done some research into what this conversion was going to cost. You could have then delayed it until you'd saved enough money to assemble the parts you needed before starting instead of going blindly ahead with it.
Sorry to be so harsh, and by the sounds of the routines you can do your a far better flyer than I'll ever be, but the reality is don't start something you can't finish. I want it all and I want it now only works if you've got the brass to back it up.

Why dont you get a 2s from Maxpoly to stick with your 6s packs?

These are special order but are not really any dearer than the 3s stuff you are getting free.

I know because i have one but it has never been used as i ditched 8s before it turned a blade.

sponsorship means you don;t get everything for free you know.

you have to be a factory pilot to get stuff free.
