  • Who's lost a heli.....

I've had a message via the contact link stating below...

    Hi,
Not really sure who to contact so sorry to bother you, we found an rc helicopter in the portsmouth area and wondered if you knew of any local groups who might be able to help us trace its owner, or if not we could give it to.
I can email you the make if you want but i'd have to check it.
    Thanks for any help,
    Becky.
Anyone have any clues.....it'll be a first of loosing a heli I think ...I've asked for pic's to see if this can help..I wonder if a Szabo heli from last year. That would be a miracle.
    Cheers

I have a friend who lost a trex a while back. He never has found it after plenty of searching. I don't know if he was near portsmouth though. I'll email him...

I had my raptor 60 fly off on me a few years ago, it disspeared clean out of the airspace of the field!

After a lengthy search, of just over 4 hours by a team of 6 people, we eventually found the model which had come down in the edge of a densely populated corn field, 5 fields away from the flying site. The really worrying part was just the other side of that same field was a large petrol station!!

There are two possibilities that come to mind on this one Stu, first it is a flyaway, in which case it could have come from anywhere within I would guess a 20 mile radius of Portsmouth, or else it is a stolen model that has been dumped by someone unscrupulous.

It would be helpful if there were some pictures of it I suppose.

Portsmouth is Ade's neck of the woods, so he would be best placed to know of clubs in the area I should think.

      Cheers,
      Pete.

That is one very good citizen!

Don't post pics though as any rogues (not members of course) could try and claim this.

I can keep the pic's and provided the potential owner has pics to match against we will be okay.
            Cheers

Okay I have pics of the heli now.....its in relatively good condition its hard to not to give too much away but is a micro heli. Anyone who knows who's it can be can they PM me and give a full description of the heli to verify the owner, specifically any non std items on the heli.
              Cheers
