Wanted a helicopter since i was knee high to a grasshopper, however couldent afford it so just forgot about it ,untill my stepdaughter bought my son a cheap syma 2 channel thing .

That was it then ,on the net looking for a heli ,i bought a honey bee fp ,then a falcon....then thought id join here! which was a good start point.
Met james (moonmanflyer) which in turn helped 110% hes a good chap .
Then joined a club, and since have my 600n and my rappy in the md fuse great fun.

I have always been interested in anything RC. Had a couple of cars that i used to just trash on the street outside my house. A couple of years ago i went with my unlce to the club he had just joined where he was being shown how to set up his raptor 30v2. Seen one of the guys flying some seriously low 3d and was well & truly hooked! So in 2006 i bought a twister cpv2, the most twitchy heli ever however it did teach me to hover so i progressed to a raptor 30v2 of my own! I dont get as much flight time as i would like but have started a new job which should free up some time for me!

I am well and truly addicted to this hobby!!

saw a guy fly his heli on a local field about 10 years ago (I was about 15) and got chatting to him (Nigel was his name) then demanded my mum to take me to the club he flies at (Marley works, near Keighley West Yorkshire), bought a second hand Hirobo Shuttle Z (i think) but I dont remember it flying (I think it was close to exam time) then a few months later, i moved on (as you do at that age, get interested in girls, then cars etc)
about 4 years later, I had some spare cash so decided to build a Rator v2 from scratch (loved building it), and taught myself to fly it. had a VERY basic simulator on my work computer, then took the Raptor to the local park at 7am for a few flights before work each day.
unfortunately I changed jobs and didnt have time for it anymore.
luckily I took it with me each time I moved house (4 times) and now it resides at my other half's parents who have a large garden so now just waiting for some nice weather

strangely I thought I'd have preferred fixed wing, as I was obsessed with airplanes, not heli's when I was younger.....strange
