i am looking at getting a new charger and transmitter this year
i was looking at the cellpro 10s or 4s and there seems to be a big price difference!
you can buy 2 4s to 1 10s? which should i go for?
also for a transmitter i was looking at the dx7 but just waned to make sure this was a good idea or is there a better one i could go for? not too expensive!!!

The 4s will only charge upto 4 cell packs, the 10s will charge upto 10 cell packs, or 2 x 3/4/5 cell packs simultaneously.

DX7 is a great choice of TX. You won't regret it mate. Only alternative at a similar price is the Futaba 7c 2.4 which is also a good radio.

matt27 if your going to stay electric helis then the 10s is the one to buy , because you can charge i 10s batt on this charger or two 5s,4s ect but 4s only goes to 4s but still a very good little charger , most here use both & i think most will tell you 10s because if you were to sell it on later you would get more , most here use dx7 but some use futaba both are 2.4 both have there +& - realy its down to what you like, im sure more here will give more advice

Hi Matt

I'll go over the 10S & DX7 with you on Saturday, the Cellpro chargers are ace, and if the 10S stretches to wallet strings the 4S will be just fine.

Just remember the 4 & 10S need a PSU, and that can be £50 upward on the stock price of the charge unit.

Knowing your situation I'd say a new charger is more of a priority then a new TX at this stage Bro.

Matt - the DX7 is a good choice, but I have just got a 10C today (339 from inwoods) and I can say it is a lot better so far, proper test will be when I come to set up a heli tomorrow with it - so far so good though

for you guys that want to buy expensive power supplies remember that a pc power supply will do the same thing for far less maybe even free if you have an old pc. the one i have supplies 12v at 7amp and it came from as old pc i had in the potting shed, i charge 2 3s packs off of it no problem using two chargers at 2 amps each.

really easy to do just find the black [ - ] and yellow wires [+] that are inside say the cd-rom power connector are connect up . !!!! test it first though if you dont want to take a chance !!!!!!
do a search if you want more info theres plenty on how to modify pc power supplies

This years purchase apart from more batteries for my Trex 500 and spares when I need them.........is a really good quality 450 case for my Beam e4....

Eddie, Fast Lads do a 450 padded "firm wall case" it costs around £29 but for the life of me I can't find the link, ask them and there know what your after.

Thanks guys, but I was looking for a top quality hardened case with inserts.....best one I've seen at the moment is the Align one but wondering if there are any others even bespoke made!

Eddie, the Align case is very nice, but the 450 carrier will be just fine, and I'll be buying that for my hybrid 450XL- come -SE-SE V2, LOL.
