  • Devil's Advocate..

    Okay,

I wish to play a devil's advocate here...

With the recent events over the last week and the news of the Synergy release at the 3D Masters and now the Avant Aurora also being launched at the 3D Masters.

Its obviously the place to be this year if you can get thier to see the battle commence.

I have no issues or biase towards either heli's be it JK & TB or Augusto they have developed what appears to be tremendous machines that will without doubt shake up the market in the performance/competition end of the hobby.

    My question/statement is.....

"When the Synergy has been talked about and showed for a whole year near enough and now about to be released and traffic i.e. posts and views easily shows a need for a dedicated forum. Why is it not given one.....?".

Yet an advertiser releases one post with some pics, yet no one has seen it fly well atleast I haven't on the net as yet an no-doubt soon a movie will be released....does this warrant a forum.

    Considering and I quote:

RR creates forums when traffic warrants. The product is not released. First you need to order one to have something to talk about (like first post above). Use the New and Emerging forum for now.

Am I the only one that can smell something ?

Just for example a quick search on "Synergy" = 16 pages
Try the same on Aurora ........2 pages...

    Hummmm....

i thought the fact that the rules on RR directly relate to how much money the person lines his pocket was now common knowledge?

irwin of quick world wide is a classic example.

I know Ade, but for someone who preaches so much its so much fun when he falls foul of his own rules.....I'm just waiting to see how long before he eats he words. It amazes me that some people feel the need keep him sweet for fear of damage they feel they may suffer....more fool them.

maybe we should start a list of suppliers that dont advertise there so we know to support them :-)

Dont you just love these underhanded dealings that go on in this hobby/industry! There are one too many people who think they are some sort of god like charactor and that everyone must preach to.

I think it's probably a far better accolade for anyone to say they dont advertise on RR.

            Cheers,
            Pete.

its silly... i spend a lot of time reminding myself that it is a sport/hobby primarily and a living second.

Its everywhere you look. People just taking it that bit too seriously. Wish everybody would lighten up a bit, its supposed to be fun!

Another rumour is that MA have been holding back on the release of a new heli, so they can steal the Synergies thunder. . . . . . . . .

True - I recently contacted Motors & Rotors about the new xCell 50 that they had on show at Sandown and they said it would be available at the 3D Masters and not before - I was quoted approximately £500 at Sandown for the machine.

                    Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.... very tempting.

                      Spot on Pete,

Hence RcHeliaddict is about the hobby and the benefit of its members, be them retailers or just pilots. I've never had an issue with any retailer wishing to be a member of the site and post info on their products. Provided they can support thier products and take the heat when things go wrong as they do every now and again.
                      Cheers
