  • heliguy.com customer service

I just thought I'd share my experience of trying to buy from heliguy.com.

Below is a series of e-mails between myself and heliguy.com:

Question: I tried to buy a few items but kept getting the
message \"Sorry There Was A Problem With Your Details. See Below
For Details\" There is no detail explaining what the problem is.
Since I want to purchase this item today and your website cannot
accomodate this request i will be buying elsewhere. I suggest you
    improve your website!

Customers that are declined usually don't have the funds to pay!

So please go and buy elsewhere.

Well good for you, it must have been my new anti-prat programming that
prevented you from ordering-works a treat.

This comment `Since I want to purchase this item today and your website cannot accomodate this request i will be buying elsewhere. I suggest you

Just had a look at the guy's site.....based in Alnwick ??? - I though I recognised the name...

            http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/member.php?u=1672

Ohh well.... This is why I started the site in the first place to get retailers onboard to the concept that failure to support or communicate effectively can and does have consequences.

Pleased you got sorted elsewhere though.
            Cheers

I have had dealings with this Guy, and believe me, I would NEVER EVER use them again. I was new to Helicopters and he sold me a HB CP2 with Illegal Xtals for this country, mode 1 transmitter and I had no warnings from them about the danger of Li-pos.
so my first experience with them nearly burnt my house down.
I sent him a fairly polite email to warn him that he really should warn people about lipos when charging them with those Phone charger type things that come supplied. He didnt even have the decency to reply.

He needs a good smacking if you ask me!

Have faith in the system chaps, if he treats all of his customers like this, he will be a lonely and poor man, and I have to say its no more than he deserves, as copusmaximus says, "Politeness costs nothing"

Good point Ade, it would be good to get a response from him

                      My money will go elsewhere

What is it about RC Modelling retailing that attracts the real prats

Mind you, maybe I could widen that statement a little more

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

As has been previously said - This wonderful hobby is self regulating -word of poor customer service is quickly passed on by forums like this or word of mouth and the bad performers will be "EXTERMINATED"
