Well, there goes another one.
Went out at the weekend for a new TX for her indoors, probably a 7C Fast, had tried a 7C 35mhz and liked it but as it was going to be used on a 500CF the 2.4 seemed a better option.
Tried North Shields, didn't have any. 2 decent modelshops...didn't have my Overlander motor for the Extra 260 either but that's been ordered for me.
So, thought OK, Alan's Models in Whitley Bay, trekked along there, laughing @ the police response to the domestic in progress not far from the model shop. (CPO's walking quickly)
Finally got there, closed, completely empty premises, no signs to show they had relocated or anything. Now we didn't use them that often but still got bits and pieces as and when. Just checked the website...down for maintenance hmmm.
Damn shame !
So far, Whitley Bay has lost, Woolworths, TG Allans, Ethel Austins, Sports Direct, three smaller specialist shops (Fireplaces, kitchens, bathrooms) and shortly M&S is to go.
Where's this going to end I wonder?
