Whats the difference between DSM and DSM2 apart from the number and how does it affect different things? also dumb question if my Tx is dsm2 and i order a 6100 which 'claims' to be dsm2 are they guaranteed to work? and if they claim to work from 3 to 9v how do they work in an 11.1v heli?

DSM was the origonal version.
It was only a short range system.
DSM2 is full range if using a full range reciever.
The 6100e is short range, but is fine for 450 size heli's.
It will work with all DSM2 tx's.
The power from the esc is reduced from 11.1v to between 4.8v-6v( its called a BEC, battery eliminator circuit), it is usually selectable in the programming of the esc(have a look at the programming instructions for your esc)Align T-Rex 600n Pro (Now with 3GX)
Align T-Rex 500CF(Gone)
Align T-Rex 450 Pro
T-REX 250, had it since crimbo(bloody tail) want to smash it with a hammer
T-Rex 700......STUNNING (Thirsty)
(Now with 3GX)
