  • Servo Suggestions please

After going through my finances its apparent i can expand on my collection abit and im looking to build an Avant Aurora , i know they are expensive but i hear very good things about them so my mind is set , thing is im not sure what servo's to go with.

I know im going with the DS760 gyro so i need a nice tail servo to match ,

Any one got any suggestions on cyclic/throttle servo's? this is an expensive kit so im not holding back with cheapy servo's so fire away!

    Cheers

Depends on the type of flying you wish to do.

If you're into 3D, then you want strong cyclic servos that move fast (maybe JR8915 servos).

If you're into FAI then you don't need so much speed, but you might like more accuracy and holding power (maybe JR8321 servos).

There are servos out there to suit different flying styles, so when spending the kind of money you're suggesting here, be sure you know exactly what you expect from the equipment first.

I haven't tried a Futaba 251 tail servo, but I have got 2 Spartan gyros - one with a 8700G tail servo and one with a 8900G servo. Both setups work very very well.

Throttle servo needs to be reliable, accurate and of modest speed. Many mid-priced digital servos can manage this.

S9256 on the tail would be fine, use that on my trex 700.
S3152 on the throttle would be perfect, as mike says, the JR's are the best but bloody expensive, the align 610's are a similar spec at half the price or bls 351 or 451's will also be good.
Engine wise, go for the YS91SR, more coinsistant than the OS.

I dont fly 3d at all , to be honest im still at the hovering stage but i want a nice 90 that will look after me , im looking for this heli to be the pride of my fleet so im really pulling out all the stops , i will never be into 3d i would describe my target as agressive sports with a little inverted.

Already chose the ys91 sr =) and paired it up with the hatori sb19 fh designed for this engine ,

all im stuck for is servo decisions really. oh and a flight battery
