  • Think my DX7 maybe faulty (Belt CP Model)

    Well,

the problem seems to be that the gyro gain doesnt hold/save/work,. sometimes if i turn off the heli and DX7 then turn it on again it works as it should, other times it hardly moves when i move the helicopter left and right but works fine if i manually move the rudder stick.

its happend on two gyros ive used the Gulang one and a E-Flite G110 (current).

and another small bug ive encounterd is that it lost its bind to the Raptor 30 after i had binded the AR6200 to the Belt CP on its own model memory and me a Made2Fade was confused.

also is it normal in HH mode that when you hold some slight rudder imput it slowly moves all the way to the left/right instead of holding the position on the stick, in Rate mode it works fine and holds in the position on the rudder stick

Sounds to me its the gyro is initializing before the Tx has communicated fully with the RX.

If you bound the RX to a model then change it to another model you will need to re-bind each time you use do so.

Worth a try. Not sure if setting the Gyro to NON H/H at RX power up may help then switch intio H/H???

The tail, could be you have some trim on when you power up. Some cheaper Gyros have a tendancy to drift so needing a little trim in the hover. The trim must be re-centred each time before TX Power up otherwise it takes the offset trim to be neutral, again requiring even more trim etc etc

Ile try that then, Turn on in Rate Mode, then flick into HH mode

I didnt change the model, i got a new RX, and bound it to a new memory slot on the DX7, but for some reason the Raptor lost its bind.

Thanks anyways, i will go try your advice in a couple of minuets and tell you if it works or not
