I need to add some serious weight to my belt as its tail heavy, any ideas to bring the nose down but to keep it discreet? obviously dont want a massive thing hanging off the front, or has anyone got/had one of these and tried hanging the battery of the slanted bit over the battery holder where the front servo sits?

Pop down to your local tyre fitter and ask if they have a strip of Self Adhesive Lead weights you can have. Most stips come with different weights on it. Failing that, you can get them from Midlands, Fastlads, RealRaptors etc.

I really wouldn't worry about the weight distribution. As I said today, all Belt CP's are tail heavy, but they fly fine nonetheless. Adding a load of weight is really not a good idea.

Here's a link to me flying your very heli to show you they really do fly OK (well, the pilot may not be wonderful in this case)

i know its bad to add weight but i need to try and balance it as its on full forward trim and i have to push stick up to fight it, if i balance it its one less problem

What if i was to push up on the right stick to where she would fly level and then remove the servo arm and seat it at this point? in theory this would work but then my arms would no longer be at 90 degrees, do you think this is do able?

Nik... bring it to the indoor on Sunday and will set it up without the weight on if you like .. Personally I would buy some weight from Max's and try that .... but each to there own ....I like my CG right ... do not play with the servo arms please ... if you want to try it then screw the front control rod in a little at a time

Hi Mike, i wont touch the servo arms, i tried to balance it with weight to get a rough idea of how much i would need and i ended up using a massive socket out my toolbox and its quite heavy, not sure if the heli would take it, i'll bring it on Sunday if i can get there to show you, if you think its too much then setting up without the weight would be awesome, i too like to be on top of my CG but in this case i think im gonna have to find a way around it, and getting the heli to pull forwards to counter the tail weight seems like the only option, sorry for asking you the same thing in a text i'd already sent it before i logged on

Your bell mixing is out after the crash Nik. You must set it up first, so let Mike show you how. If it's set up right it really doesn't need any weight in the nose

Phil... i set it up today at his house already .. The CG is tail heavy which either needs sorting or it needs the front control rod moving so its shorter and pushing the heli forward ... As for the heli itself ... for an elec heli its not bad .. gyro needed some fiddling to stop the wag but like I said to Nik ..its a stock Tx , gyro and tail servo so dont expect miracles ... apart from it pitching back it now sits there with hardly n e stick input from me when i was hovering it in his back garden

Cheers Mike. As I said before all Belt CPs are somewhat tail heavy. I did spend quite some time fettling, and I had managed to get it hovering hands off with the trims all centred and the swash level. It does require a little fettling with the bell mixing, and I was surprised at how a tiny adjustment to the flybar paddle control arms can make a huge difference to the way it flies. (We're talking about an almost imperceptible amount here - only 1 or 2 degrees at most)

I reckon you've got your work cut out keeping Nik's enthusiasm in check though - it's great to see, and the reason I sold it to him rather than a guy in our gliding club

                        Keep enjoying it guys

is it not possible to make the tail lighter rather than adding weight.

No there is nothing i can take off to reduce weight, for those that have a belt cp and find the cg puts you off as its tail heavy just add 40g to the front of your canopy and it will level out almost perfect
