    Try this first
    http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/components/led.htm

For your future needs think of something and type it into Google. I entered "connect leds" and the first item listed is the link I have posted.

Pardon me for asking but isn't it better to learn to fly properly before starting the silly stuff?

I don't disagree with your sentiment but it is called a hobby and anything the guy wants to do to make the hobby better for him is what it is all about imo.

Liam, I have always been straight with you. But I agree with Phil.

You are new to this hobby and very enthusiastic, but if you continually post questions about things way ahead, peeps may not be so keen to help with things you really need to achieve now. Question overload.

You can search the forum or Google to get many answers.

                  Cheers

Liam mate, no one's having a go at you here.

We all just know from sore personal experience that all of this excitement and pleasure that the Heli is giving you just now is, unfortunately, due to take some big knocks.

The reason that people might seem defensive is that we've all put our heart and soul into a model only to bang it into the floor for the stupidest of reasons. The more basic your model now the better as it gives you the best possible chance of 'surviving' your first crash.

We see so many people who join the forum and exhibit the same enthusiasm yet never get beyond the first mishap. I'm not suggesting that this applies to you in any way but, the simpler things are at this stage the greater your chances of success.

Keep things simple at this stage and it'll pay dividends in the future and keep your repair bills to a minimum. The temptation to upgrade and update your model is strong but the sad fact is that even at my stage in learning it doesn't prevent your thumbs doing the wrong things and just gives you more to worry about.

We will do everything in our power to make sure that you get flying as quickly as possible but don't rush at it. It takes time and lots of practice to get to where you're headed and there's no easy way about it. Enjoy the learning process, you'll learn as much about yourself as you do about your new hobby.

                    Andy

Quite right, I did suggest he do that in my first post.

Oh blimey, this doesn't happen very often, but I actually agree with both sides here.

Phil, I think you came over abit harsh mate, Liam is only young and very enthusiastic.

David, I quite agree with you too.

and Liam, as I PM'd you, slow down and don't be so impatient. I thoroughlly applaud your enthusiam and it's great to see, but you really must start looking into things yourself before blindly posting hoping we're all going to spoon-feed you. That's a lesson you'd do well to learn now, as it's only going to get harder as you get older.

Guys, Liam has taken abit of a knocking tonight, so I say let's give him a break.
