IIRC the throttle/power lead on my HobbyWing 40A ESC has a ferrite core on it. Given that it's HV, the BEC is likely to be switched mode - so I'd guess that's why the core is there.

If the BEC is part of the ESC then I think you will find the ferrite ring is to filter out motor transients from being sent to the receiver as the signals sent to the motor are a sort of AC. As the motor is an electro magnetic device it will produce noise that could radiate into the supply lines to the receiver.

I was under the impression that the noisy motors were brushed ones, and the noise came from the commutators.

On a brushless motor, the 3-phase AC in the windings is a frequency comparable to the number of revs per second. At 60kRPM that's only 1kHz (I think this will increase with the number of motor poles).

I don't think a signal at a few kHz is going to upset even a 33MHz radio.

As a comparison, none of my low voltage ESCs (with non-switched (linear) BECs) have the ferite cores, and the motor currents are comparable to the HV ESC.

So I'd still guess the ferrite core is for the switched BEC.

          hi lads,

i have got 750's and my cyclic and tail is glitching but dont know if this is reciever or not cause it isnt just the cyclic.

          this is my problem: http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/f34/spektrum-help-18613/

          cheers
