  • Dx6i Batt'y cover mod

    Hi
I've heard people say that the batt cover on the dx6i didn't really click into place and make a tight fit etc and i found this to be the case so i took a craft knife and proceeded to scrape away some of the top side of the Tx where the cover finally comes to rest where the 3 slots are..........i took some material out all along that top edge plus a little on the top 1/2 inch of the sides and now it fits a lot better and more or less clicks into place where you now have to do as the wording says and "push" down to release the cover.................job done!!

I hated the DX6i I had. The scroller stopped working so I had it replaced, then a trimmer stopped working so I had it replaced, then i had problems at fields which didn't accept them because they didn't use welded battery cells, so I sold it (and some other kit) to buy the DX7, i'd never go back. Buy cheap, buy twice. Just my bad experience. I believe they did help spread 2.4Ghz technology though, which in my opinion wasn't a bad thing at all.

phockzie i hear what your saying i too have had a trim switch go and i called Horizon who sent me a couple of new switches free of charge of course..........plus i've recently had to refit a new ariel but that was my little boy mischief.........but on the whole and for the money its a good piece of kit to get you started and i guess people with £600 to a £1000 Tx's could say the very same thing about the Dx7 which is also a good piece of kit (relative i guess!)

marktigere1 i too haven't had any trouble with mine to any degree but i felt it fit just a tad better than it did.
