Anybody regulary use this site/shop? I'm asking the question as the Futaba transmitter prices look very competitive.

Do they update the site regulary or is it a case of ringing them to be told there is a price increase?

I use the shop regularly as it's on my commute to and from work.

Their website is sh1te and it's been documented on here before. Best thing to do is call.

You could also PM flatspins - he works there.

If you can get your order placed the service after that is excellent.

They do have some keen prices but I expect it reflects the fact they still have some stock acquired before the prices went up rather than a mistake.

I picked up a few servos earlier today and some of them were considerably cheaper than anywhere else, but once that stock is gone I expect the prices will go up.

If in doubt give them a ring, they are great on the phone, just don't talk about the website

sorry but the cost on the Internet, should be honored, so if they try to up the cost after you have ordered or at point of order you really could get trading standards involved.

make a copy of the page for reference.

In general Trading Standards will not touch this if we are talking about errors on the web.

I've got no reason to believe that there are any such issues with Inwoods, but as a general note for other situations like this, as long as the retailer does not actually take money from your card then they can contact you and decline to proceed with the order if there is an error on the web site.

In some cases where the card charging is automatic they can still reverse the charge and decline the order as long as they do it promptly as soon as the error is found and before anything is shipped.

The site is an invitation to treat, your order is an offer to buy and until the offer is accepted there is no contract.

The automatic card processing can throw a spanner in the works and some retailers let the orders stand just for goodwill purposes as long as the number and the financial loss is not too great but there is no obligation to do so.

ok guys, I have no interest in the legislation surrounding online stores and trading standards. The post was merely to confirm if the website prices are current or not due to the recent price increases we have experienced. Thanks to those that replied anyway. I will give Inwoods a tinkle tomorrow.

The web site is crap, and when I visited 18 months ago, so was the "shop". HOWEVER, you're not buying the web site or the shop, and everything I've purchased is good value for money, so I would use them again with no concerns. But call them, that's the best way to get accurate prices and availability, they are good people.

In fairness, the shop was probably crap because they had only just moved to new premises, maybe it's improved since then ?.

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

Ok, I rang Inwoods and their prices are as stated on the website.

Good guys to speak to and deal with. Some bloody good prices on high end radio gear too.

                      Cheers
