Liam, there are cheap or free sims. And there are value for money sims.
Anything cheap or free will not be value for money - that is ----crap. They will not save many crashes, so work out very expensive.
Anything like Pheonix or Realflight will be value for money - that is - will repay their cost many times over in saved crashes. So work out very cheap.
That's it in a nutshell. Works for almost any heli product too.

That's the trouble when it comes to anything to do with this hobby it's all or nothing, this isn't elitist views, but this hobby is so intense to learn you need the best to master the basics, and then practice new moves there after, that second best products like Sims do you no favors at all.
I do hope you snap one up cheap mate, I'll keep my ears to the ground for you from now on.
