I have the phoenix software but not the official controller as i have 2 transmitters already from owning 2 heli's my question is why wont it work with the transmitters i have? surely i shouldnt need to fork out more cash just for a special tranmitter they make or £££££'s for a Futaba or the like.

phoenix works with a dongle that attaches to the tx thru the back of the Tx .. as long as the Tx has a buddy lead then it shud be good to go ..

There isnt an "Official Controller"

Check out the Program setup and there is a host of Transmitters that will work with Phoenix.

no i only have the actual software not the hardware, the tx i have is one that came with my twister coastguard and the other is an e-sky tx, it says e-sky are supported but i couldnt get it to pick it up, and yes both have the little round socket on the back for a pin to usb lead which i also have 2 of, well miffed as was told this was the best software to get hold of

Phoenix will only work with the dongle that come with it .. this stops pirates copying it .. the discs can be copied but the hardware cant .. keeps it nice and safe and also keeps the company in biz to do the free updates that it does ...TBH its only £80 and that can be one crash so its well worth the money at the end of the day

as well as the software there is a dongle/cable that connects your tx to a free usb port. do you have this ? if you don't then it will not work.

If you have 2 USB dongle leads then there isnt a problem.

Post a picture of the leads, Did you purchase these online or at a retailer.

i didnt know that you had to have the official dongle, i got the disc off a mate, errmmm, do any of you have the package or just the dongle for sale?, i have heard of dongles on ebay but not sure if any of them work any ideas?

Nup the usb dongles will not work with Phoenix ... When you buy Phoenix you are really buying the dongle and the software is free

nope, no ebay dongles will work. pay up to play is only way. most model shops have phoenix at about 80 quid.
