Anyone been flying today.???

Managed two flights this afternoon with the Trex 500 in my local field.....very windy and only managed not so graceful so called circuits, hovering and orientation moves....

All the same it was great to at least get in the air....and down safely...

Eddie, have you put the longer Flybar on the 500? If not, get one and do it ASAP. You will not believe the difference it will make.

Aidi, yes mate, I did it a while ago and your totally right the difference is remarkable.

I find it's more stable, not that it was'nt initially, and it's so much quieter....in other words it really feels solid....great mod if you ask me and I wont be putting the original flybar back on.....well, that's unless I really have have too, if you know what I mean!

Did you manage to get to the DMHC this weekend? Really windy in Poole.

i got some flights in today
went to indoor club and met up with cambs flyer finally (nice to meet him)
got home and had 2 flights with the 400 then was to dark to fly anymore
oh well fly 2moro!

OK, te jokes gone on long enough!...It was fun to begin with but the Brass Monkey season needs to finish before I have to go get some braising done

It was bitter out there this am..nasty chill winds from the north and i couldn't take more than three tanks..and really didn't feel like fiddling with the things so tolerated the marginal tracking error on the 600 which was pretty lively in the turbulent air anyway an scared myself with a travelling nose in front flip when my slow brain realised I was downwind..still change of pants and all was well...

On it's second tank the engine faltered in an axial roll.. quite weird.. header tank was full but it picked up and saved me autoing downwind. I couldn't find a cause on landing and flew hovered around a bit then pulled soem flips and another axial...with no problems but called that a day at tank's end..

Blitz had a go to see if it'd start better with it's new on-board glow...I fly that with more care anyway..no issues flying but did have fuel dripping from the crankcase on landing..needs some investigation. It's cline carb modded with crankpressure and I'm wondering if there may be any backflow through it's valve that shows up when the engine slows down?

I excorcised my double flip demon on the 600 today..so at least something achieved..

Yep it was cold but i went flying. Only 2 packs though as the wife was waiting in the car.
