I pay £10.00 per year for a home-made membership card and a field to fly over with a few wooden posts to keep out the dogs and kids... (If we ever have a 12 foot wide dog or kid they won't be able to run into a heli on the field !)
There are no pits areas or anywhere to sit without risking the mess left by the lovely dog owners. The best bits are the paths the public use straight through the heli square which wears the grass down so i have a nice place to ake-off and land my heli...
IC Power - Monday & Friday - all day up to dusk. Wednesday - until 12 noon. Saturday and Sunday from 1.00pm until dusk.
Glider and electric models can fly at any time up until dusk.

My indoor club charges £20.00 for ten sessions of 2 hours and free tea, chocolate and coffe. Also power to use for charging..

          Chelmsford Model Flying Association

£88 per year inc BMFA (there is a joining fee which I think was 10 quid.)

Fairly big field to fly in, two heli squares and a power square for the plane bods. pits areas and paths. All mown by the farmer.

          Gliders also in the field.

It's 15 mins drive for me, so not too bad considering that. Only down side is that the sun makes the heli squares unusable as it sets on the left of the flight line in the evening.
          Regards,

          Jason
          Futaba 12FG/ Knight 3D / 450Pro / Beam E4 and a whole load of gliders!

I'm looking at join my local club Orwell Model Helicopter Club near Ipswich - £100.00 membership inc. BMFA + £25.00 joining fee. Small grass area in the corner of an agricultural field which you fly over, 20ft container for shelter, tea/coffee and that's it.
Best part is that so far the members are very friendly and the instructors have the patience of a saint, which they need with me!
