Sounds like its not set up correctly, when you connect battery it maybe that you have to wait few seconds for heli to set or once set does tail slider sit centre of shaft if not then would need to set it back up again more so after say a crash.Today's outlook is fine for flying.- Spektrum DX18 gen2, Phoenix Sims, Align MR25XP.

Mate,
I've got a fair bit of mini pred experience (I was flying mine at lunch time) but I'm not entirely sure what your problem is. Are you saying that you've got limited rudder response in one direction? If so, consider increasing the potential throw of the servo by putting the push rod further out on the servo horn.
If you're saying that the tail is drifting then consider adjusting the gain up a bit with a small screwdriver on the gyro itself. Finally, check that you are using heading hold mode on the tx.
Are you using the stock Art-Tech tx?
Happy to help, but I'll need a clearer indication of the problems first.

Then you just need to check that tail trim on radio set reset to centre connect heli & check that tail slider is centre of shaft if no just move servo until. Give that a go.Originally posted by sas View Postit has 1 plug to it that say,s servo out and 1 to the receiverToday's outlook is fine for flying.- Spektrum DX18 gen2, Phoenix Sims, Align MR25XP.

Can only think that something in the radio is not right just check if 'travel adjust' is where the problem maybe.Originally posted by sas View Posti set all trims center and set center on shaft but it will still only move a small amont to the rightToday's outlook is fine for flying.- Spektrum DX18 gen2, Phoenix Sims, Align MR25XP.

could it be that the servo is too far along the boom and all of the centering is just making this worse.
Plug the servo directly into the receiver, bypassing the gyro altogether, with the trims centered and then make sure that the horn is at 90 degrees and moving an equal distance each way when you move the stick.
Once this is done, if needed, move the servo along the boom, keeping the servo arm at 90 degrees until the tail pitch slider is in the middle of it's travel which will at least give you a decent starting point, now return any settings on the gyro back to the factory settings and reconnect it. See how that goes...
Also check that everything is as it ought to be, pushrod length and make sure that nothing is sticking or bent in the mechanics.
By taking the gyro out of the equation, you'll be able to make sure that the servo is ok and that the gyro is set back to the starting settings as specified in the manual and that nothing is bent or sticking.
Good luck...sigpicX2
