Dave Wilshere DVD's

Hope you all got what you wanted for Christmas....(Buzzfly SE for me )

I'm thinking of buying the Dave Wilshere DVD collection and was wondering if any of you have ever watched them and what you think.

Hi Dave,i ordered the full set consisting of four dvds from traplet website,they cost £34.95.i ordered them the week before xmas but they havnt arrived yet and its been 3 weeks.cos of the backlog from xmas but hopeing they should be here this week.If u wnt b4 u decide to buy them i will wait for mine to come through and i will review them and let you know if its worth you buying them.Plus i got the other 6 volumes of Rays Authorotative dvds and these are the best ones you can buy,just excellent dvds.but at £120 for the full set it may sound expensive but its well worth the investment! I have 3 DVD's 1 an introduction to RC Model Helicopters,2 from the ground up, and 3 beyond the hover.

Mmmm

1st DVD had one viewing only (40mins)
2nd DVD viewed twice (40mins)
3rd DVD view a few times (40mins)

Gives a good basic introduction to topics covered but total viewing time of 120 mins information is limited. One of the DVD's I do believe Dave was flying in high winds so sound wasn't too good.

Just dusted them off now to type the titles on this post, 1st time I've seen them in 18 months.

I have the above three vids boxed and perfect condition.... £25 all three postage free if any takers.

Good viewing especially if your gettting into helis seriously and want to get a good feel for the routes to take and basic flying techniques!

Id reccommend the Ray Hostetler series, far superior to Dave Wilshires dvds, I had the DW vids but did not think much of them, I borrowed the Ray Hostetler ones and ended up getting my own set wel volumes 7,8,9 and 1,2,3,

I would say that the Dave Wilshires dvd's are an 'ok' general introduction to the hobby, so worth a watch, but the Ray Hostetler series are excellent and full of useful information on building/setup etc.

Any idea where to source them from? - I've done a search but can't seem to find anywhere that sells them.

Do you still need to get a step ladder and ancient motor bike helmet to use the Ray DVD's ?

Hi Saints7 ive just got my Ray's Authoratative DVD'S from this site.Really good customer servicde and only took a couple of days for them to be delivered.hope this helps and good luck.Cheers Grant.
