I have been reading online and trying to work out how to charge two 2100mah lipo batts at the same time on the same charger can anyone help ?

Putting them in series would mean id have to charge 6 cells at 22.2v and 2.1A ?

and if i go parallel 6 cells at 11.1v and 4.2a ?

can i modify a 6 cell ballance plug for charging both 3 cell lipos. ?

that would be ideal however i just bought a new venom pro and didnt think of that at the time.

If you have a 6 cell charger then you can charge two 3 cell packs.
however this should only be done with a balance charger becuase when the two 3 cell packs are joined in series then in effect you have a 6 cell pack that is quite a way out of balance (3 cells lower than the other 3).

Unless the packs are resonably closely matched in discharge though you could run into a problem with many chargers. This is that the ability to charge some cells more than the others is limited. The current difference is limited by the design of the balancer (typically 300mA). so if you have one 3 cell pack nearly charged and the other almost empty when you connect them to the charger it could end up overcharging the pack that gets full first.

The cellpro 10S is different in that it has a much bigger "shunt" balance current (1A) and it monitors the cells and reduces the charge current so it will never overcharge a cell. On this charger you can connect two packs in quite different charge state and it will just throttle back to not overcharge any of the cells. If the packs are a lot different in charge state though it won't necessarily be faster to connect them both at once than to charge them in turn.

so, you can make an adaptor with a 6 cell plug and two 3 cell sockets to connect to a 6 cell charger. however you should only do it if you are timing your flights and getting your packs to close to the same charge level before you charge them. If not then charge them in turn.

As regards connecting the packs in parallel, you should only do this if the packs are exactly the same charge state (check the volts first). Otherwise a lot of current will go from one pack into the other and you will get your fingers burned (or worse).
